Intro to WordPress 5.0 and Gutenberg

November 2018: Intro to WordPress 5.0 and Gutenberg

With the imminent release of WordPress 5.0, it’s time for us to take a closer look at the new features in the upcoming version, including the new Gutenberg editor.

Intro to WordPress 5.0 and Gutenberg

Join us at our Tuesday, November 13, 2018 meetup for an overview of what Gutenberg is, what you can do with it, and what you need to do to take advantage of it.

You’ll also learn how to get back the classic editor and where Gutenberg is headed.

This will be an informal talk with:

  • Demo of the WordPress 5.0 test version
  • Walkthrough of the new Gutenberg editor
  • Gutenberg resources to help you transition to the new editor
  • Q & A

Whether you’re a blogger, designer, developer, business owner, digital marketer, or any type of WordPress user, this is the meetup you don’t want to miss!

We’re delighted to have George Hoteling as our speaker for our November meetup.

Meetup Location and Registration

We’ll be meeting at the Canton Public Library in Canton, Michigan at 1200 S. Canton Center Road (map and directions), on Tuesday evening, November 13, 2018 from 6:30pm until 8:00pm.

We’re meeting in the Teen area of the library. After you enter the library’s inside doors, before you reach the checkout area, turn left (heading east) and head to the east side of the building.

When you get to the end, turn left again.

Go past the Teen area librarian’s desk on the right. Look to the left for the green tables in the center. That’s where our group is meeting.

Cost is free, but pre-registration is required. Register on Eventbrite.
